Testing the Products

Let's start with the most prominent item in the picture above, which is Lisa Eldrige's new book Face Paint: The Story of Makeup. This book is so fascinating and really changes the way I think about makeup. In case you didn't know, or never thought about it, women (and men!) have been wearing makeup since the beginning of time. They didn't have Giorgio Armani foundation or MAC lipsticks but they made due with berries, and other natural substances. Sometimes they even put gun powder and other toxic elements on their face which is wild to think about, because nowadays most of us wouldn't dream of doing such a thing.

On to the beauty pieces, and you'll notice I made the investment and purchased the Tatcha Dewy Skin Face Mist. I absolutely hate the way it smells. It reminds me of ethnic spices and just straight up grosses me out, but the ingredients are pure goodness so I can't complain too much. Thankfully the smell dissipates fairly quickly and I spray perfume after spraying this over my face, so I smell the perfume right away. This mist is perfect for dry and combination skin, which I have both of depending on the time of year. We all know how good the Too Faced liquid lipsticks are, but Melted Fig is such a beautiful shade that's perfect for this time of year. HiSmile is getting my ass into gear when it comes to whitening my teeth! This is a several day system that takes your teeth from yellow to white. It's incredible if I'm totally honest and I think this is the perfect trick for the upcoming holidays. All the deep colored lipstick you'll be wearing this season, will look even better with beautiful white teeth. You may even get that kiss under the mistletoe this year ;) If you're following me on Instagram or YouTube, you know I've been traveling quite a bit this year. It's been a wild journey and I've loved every second of it. Something I don't rave about is the loss of battery when it comes my cell phone because I use it constantly when I travel. Music, pictures, videos and everything else is on my phone. I've been taking this Peri Go Charge with me to keep my shiz nice and juiced so I can post on Insta, tweet about who knows what and also send emails back and forth. It's been a true life saver, and it lasts so much longer than any other charging device I've used in the past. Lastly, I don't know if this product even needs to be discussed because I've been raving and raving about it in my past few posts and recent monthly favorites but the Enza Glow Creme is a phenomenal moisturizer.
