Glossier on my Mind

There's been something brewing in my beauty cabinets.

Glossier on my Mind, Glossier, Glossier Priming Moisturizer, priming moisturizer, Coconut Balm Dot Com, Glossier Coconut Balm Dot Com, Glossier perfecting skin tint, perfecting skin tint, skin tint, skincare and beauty products, Glossier beauty, Glossier skincare
...and that something is Glossier. If you asked me six months ago what I knew about the brand, I would have honestly told you I may have heard it mentioned a few times but I didn't know enough to make an educated mention of it at all. Lucky for you, I like to learn about all beauty brands and figure out what products rock and which are better to skip.

I had the pleasure of trying out these goodies, and if you've read my September favorites post or seen the video you'll know that the coconut balm dot com is phenomenal.  The coconut scent really helps me envision myself sitting on a beach somewhere baking in the sun with a deliciously refreshing cocktail in my hand, and a big floppy hat *sigh* It's a thick product made with beeswax and castor seed oil so the goal is to have the moisture on the lips for extremely long periods of time. I slather this on my lips at night, and in the morning I wake up with deliciously moisturized lippies...and there's even some balm still left! In my humble opinion, this is better than Bite Beauty's Agave Lip mask...take it from someone with dry ass lips ;)

Now the priming moisturizer seemed to apply very well to the skin, and felt extremely nourishing but I do have to admit it was a bit greasier than I expected upon application. I would recommend using this at night as a moisturizer OR letting it completely dry and soak into your skin before applying makeup in the morning. Unfortunately for me, I am in a rush in the morning and I don't have time for a moisturizer that takes even a few minutes to absorb into the skin. This is for my dry gals out there -I know you will love this one! I also know this is going to be a lifesaver in these upcoming weather months because my skin (and yours) will be drier than normal due to the colder temperatures. You may need to grab this before the cold hits!

Lastly, I tried the perfecting skin tint in the shade medium. I would compare this to a CC cream because this isn't a true foundation, and acts more as a perfector of the skin. While the medium shade is a bit too dark for me at the moment, I have been able to dilute it by using a much lighter foundation in order to create a color that is a bit more wearable for my skin tone. I have to say that when I first saw the product running out of the little nozzle, I was hesitant to apply it to my face because it looked like a greasy runny formula. We all know that looks can be deceiving, so after using this several times I've found that you can really work the formula into the skin and it will set perfectly. I will say that I've been reaching for this lately and I'm enjoying the light to medium coverage as well as the weightless feel of the product on my skin. This truly helps with discoloration, which is nice for me because I don't always want to slap on pounds of foundation on my skin and this gives me that light solution while also accounting for the redness.
