Makeup Geek came out with the most impressive eyeshadows the beauty world has ever seen.
Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows are a force not to be reckoned with when it comes to shadows. At $9.99 a pop, you really can't find this kind of quality on the high streets that even comes close to comparison. These are intensely pigmented and give an intense foiled look with just one swipe. One swipe people! This is the creamiest formula I've ever put on my eyelids, but it's not overly creamy that my oily eyelid has no color left at the end of the day. I have to admit that with no eye primer, these will not stick to your eyelid if you tend to be more on the oily side. They are very creamy so combine creamy with oily and it just doesn't sound like it would work. Although it's not quite that traumatic, my eyelid will definitely eat up the shadow if I don't prime the lid first. This is also my first Z Palette so I'm excited to finally own one and start the collection off with six beautiful shades that are perfect for spring, summer and even the fall and winter months!
The first shade (featured in my arm shot above) is called Day Dreamer. I would consider this a light lilac shade that reminds me of a beautiful light purple frosting. It's so gorgeous and adds that nice pop of color to the lid without being overly dramatic and in your face. Now Caitlin Rose is a very special color because 100% of the proceeds go to Battern Disease Support and Research Association. I am a big believer of spreading the love with makeup, but also supporting great causes! This is a deep beautiful shade of purple. It's for a more dramatic look when compared to Day Dreamer. Next shade is Pegasus and I almost feel like it doesn't need an explanation. It's just the most beautiful color I've ever seen. It's a light turquoise aqua color that I've honestly never owned or seen before; it's just such a unique color. In the Spotlight is a lighter more neutral shade that's certainly more of an everyday color. It's described as a soft pink with coral undertones. I don't notice any pink, but mostly light coral hues that look incredible on the lid. Magic Act is a true gold shadow that reminds me of the sun. It's beautiful on the lids and just brightens the entire face with it's sunny color. Last, but certainly not least, is Grandstand. Now most of you know (if you've been around these parts for some time now) that I love my browns, neutrals, rose golds, golden-y shades. This is the epitome of my favorite shade of brown/gold/rose gold all in one. This is the creamiest, much luscious of the six I purchased. This just really opens up my eyes, compliments my brown hair and just looks incredible. It will also suit many different skin tones which is not a bad thing at all.
Whew! Now that you have heard me go on and on about these, I hope you're convinced that this is the greatest formula when it comes to creamy, pigmented and long-lasting shadows. It really doesn't get much better than this!
