I have found the most amazing foundation...and the best part is it's totally affordable.
It's a medium to full coverage foundation (easily build-able to full) and it covers all of those pesky acne scars and redness you may have. It is a true skin-tone matching foundation, but it goes beyond that because this version keeps the skin matte and poreless throughout the day. Now, coming from a Sweaty Betty and someone who thrives to stay matte all day, I am beyond impressed with this foundation because it truly minimizes my pores and sits on the skin nicely for hours. Having said that, this formula is more specifically designed for normal to oily skin. If you're on the dry side, this may not be the best foundation for you because it may feel like it's drying out your skin. Something a bit more hydrating and fitting would be the original Fit Me foundation. Now let's touch on the price. $7.99...seriously. You cannot go wrong with that price. And combined with the quality, it's a showstopper and a must have in your makeup collection. I am the shade 'Classic Ivory' for those of you who may be wondering. Sometimes it is tough to gauge which foundation would be best for you, but I suggest picking two bottles that look like comparable shades and opening them and lightly dabbing the top of the bottle. Swipe each of those mini drops on the end of your chin down the side of your neck as that area is the most telling when it comes to proper skin color. You always need to match your neck. I've done this method every single time I've contemplated buying a drugstore foundation and no sales associate has ever said "don't do that" or even given me a slight frown so I figure they understand how tough it is to pick a foundation without testing it a bit. I have dropped my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation for this foundation so if that doesn't tell you how good this Maybelline product is, I'm not sure what will.
