Skin Care That Gives a #Pepstart!

I feel like a total beauty geek, because I absolutely adore skin care and it definitely doesn't get the same attention that beautiful eyeshadow palettes and illuminating highlighters do. Skin care isn't the "sexiest" thing in the market, but let's be clear... good skin care makes your skin sexier. Good skin is the most incredible base for makeup application and a sign of health.

Just a few days ago, I received Clinique’s new Pep-Start Skincare which is a collection of easy to use and efficient products that help keep my skin clean, fresh, hydrated and smooth.

The Pep-Start Quick Cleansing Swipes are some excellent wipes, even though they are a drier formula. This is not a wipe that'll just sop liquid all over the face. While it does have a drier formula, it is really effective with removing all the makeup from my face. I find that I need to use only one for my entire face, but I do add a little water when I run the wipe over my eyes just because the drier formula isn't the most efficient without a little more liquid. All in all, these haven't broken me out which is most important to me when deciding if a wipe works for me. These are so nice for on-the-go (post workout for example) and you just need to get a nice freshness to your face, these work really well.

As you all know, I am extremely busy. Day job, blog job, YouTubing (vlogging when I can) so getting ready quickly in the morning is crucial. The Pep-Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser is the perfect addition to my morning, and helps me get out the door quicker. It's perfectly refreshing, helps wake me up, and exfoliates my skin. This sets me up perfectly for a smooth and even makeup application.

Clinique refers to their newest moisturizer as a "filter-on-the-go" and I absolutely adore this description, as well as the product itself. Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer, is a lightweight, hydrating moisturizer that truly preps skin for makeup. It is such a beautiful addition to my makeup primer and smooths my skin and makes it feel like a baby's butt. You know I use that phrase when discussing my Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, and this blurs imperfections, controls oil and brings you into focus. The new, innovative formula delivers matte moisturization with the power of our NEW HydroBlur technology. 

While I don't have trouble around my eyes (yet), I still like to be proactive and use some awesome eye creams. The Pep-Start Eye Cream makes my eyes look refreshed and hydrated and it's so incredibly easy to apply at any time. Normally this is the last step in my skin care routine, and I apply it in the dark. It is also a smoothing product and works well underneath makeup, or on top of it.
