Testing the Waters With New Products

I just love that new, new. You know what I'm saying?
I've been testing out some products and wanted to give a brief run-down of my thoughts for each. Ready? Let's do this.

The YSL Eclat Blur Primer is a good one. This is a pore-minimizer and has a mattifying effect for the face which is a huge plus, especially for someone with combination skin. Even better than the primer is the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector. I use the provided sponge and dip it into the perfector, then place it in areas of my face that I would like to "blur" which is usually dark spots, areas of redness...you get the drill. Now I can't explain quite how amazing this is but the analogy I'm going to use is almost like the blur feature in photo editing apps and software. You know how that blur gives your face more of a photoshopped look? This blur perfector is the real life version of that, but it doesn't blur every fine line or wrinkle. It just allows you to have a more perfected complexion without making your makeup overdone or caked on. Truly incredible.
Now in terms of the Covergirl mascaras, I happened to scoop both of the new releases from Covergirl when I stopped into Ulta this past week for my Mario Badescu skincare. I saw them and decided "what the heck, I'm a beauty blogger I'll take both and test them out." Duhhh! Covergirl's Super Sizer Mascara is quite a charmer. Although I have to apply many many coats (I do with every mascara) this is definitely one that adds that curl and definition to my lashes. It wasn't clumpy which I really liked. Now the Covergirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara is the winner of these two. Not only does it come in pink packaging, but it is honestly a true volume butterfly effect and it looks like your lashes have bloomed and are on the verge of being fake. Again, I apply 2635273 coats because that's just how I roll but this doesn't get clumpy, it doesn't drag under my eyes and give me raccoon eyes and it does the job. Very well I might add. Kudos to Covergirl for coming out with two great mascaras!
Last, but certainly not least, I started drinking tea. I know you UK folks are thinking "she's just now trying tea!??" but this isn't the afternoon tea you may be thinking. This is healthy tea with a purpose. I have been enjoying sipping on the 'Teami Skinny' blend. After infusing the blend into my mug, I add a dash of honey and half a sugar packet. Then I just relax and sip on that deliciousness. I will have a more detailed breakdown of my journey throughout the entire month and let you know how I feel as I continue to sip on this blend. If you're interested in purchasing your own Teami Blends tea, make sure to use the discount code 'ADA10' for 10% off your purchase.
What new, new have you been trying?
