Charlotte Tilbury Newness- Norman Parkinson Collection

 I won something really awesome from one of my favorite beauty brands.

Basically all of the goodies you see above, were sent to me because I was one of fifty winners for the new Norman Parkinson collection. They sent the collector's edition and I did receive more of the Miss Kensington items, versus the Miss 1975. 

Now the collection included the following:

From the Miss 1975 collection, we did have one item and that was the:

Filmstar Bronze and Glow- Suntan and Sunlight

During my trip to LA last week, I purchased the Eyes to Mesmerize in 'Mona Lisa' which is a beautiful deep brown that could be used in place of 'Marie Antoinette' so I can technically have most of the products needed for the Miss Kensington look. Now to a quick review of each product so you can find out if it's worth your hard earned dollars or not!

Remember that time I wrote about other Charlotte Tilbury products in the not so distant future? Well...you can read it here. I told you then that I was not a fan of the lipstick formulation in the bright shade of 'Coachella.' I was really hoping to tell you that the lighter shades work better but to be quite frank, they do not. As soon as you apply on your lips, the lipstick will expose any cracks or actually peel skin off your lips (TMI?) and the funny thing is if you keep applying the lipstick you are usually okay because everything will even out but the lipstick is not long-wearing in the slightest. I mean it's gone in two hours which if you know me at all, is just unacceptable. My goal is to tell you about the best lipsticks that stay on through thick and thin and this formulation is truly just not it.

Now off to the positive! This lip and cheek product is incredible. When I saw this color, I thought it looked way too bright and much too red for my complexion... "I'm going to look sunburned!" but after all of the fuss I realized that it actually gives me the most subtle natural flushed look. Don't overdo it though or you will look insane and possibly too red. The highlighter...absolutely gorgeous. I've put down Champagne Pop for this highlight because it's just so subtle, glowy and gives the perfect amount of highlight without being overly excessive. Now I have to be honest and tell you I have yet to use this Filmstar Bronze and Glow product because it's cream based and looks very dark for me. I tend to have an oilier complexion and cream or liquid highlights and bronzers typically are a no can do. I almost don't want to try this at all and just want to give it away but I have a hard time giving away something I don't know is or isn't good. What do you all think? 

Last, but certainly not least, the cream eyeshadow is absolute freakin' perfection. I was blown away by how good this product was because the colors were all beautiful (it was hard to choose just one) and then when I applied this to my lid it was like applying whipped mousse. The best part about is was that the color itself is extremely pigmented so you don't have to apply a lot which means this color will be in your makeup collection for a long time. It is long-lasting on the lid (even for my oily ass eyelids) and I just adore how light and mousse-like the texture is. 

When all of the goodies arrived, they were in a featured edition box that was designed beautifully with all of the Norman Parkinson photography. 

Also, let's just take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous packaging because helllooooo, packaging is half the allure of new products.
