Recently I grabbed a few things from the Urban Decay summer collection.
We all know that Urban Decay consistently has excellent eyeshadows with great pigmentation, great color range and that long lasting element. That's why every makeup collection needs a Naked palette to complete it...some collections need all three ;) Now this new 'Tonic' summer eyeshadow is a beautiful lilac color, with blue undertones. To my experience with the shadow, it changes a bit in the sunlight. It could almost be multi-chrome because it's got so many shades of purple (deeper and lighter) and also has light hues of blue. It's a lighter shadow formula so it doesn't feel like I am packing on the shadow, and the color payoff is very nice. It's highly pigmented and long-lasting which makes it absolute perfection for the spring and summer time. I just swooned over the color when I swatched it in Ulta and once I saw it in the sunshine, I knew I couldn't leave without it.
Never in my collection have I found such an incredible formula of blush. The formulation is hard to explain but it's light with no fall-out when I use my blush brush. It gives a beautiful "barely there" flush to the cheeks. I wouldn't say this is a matte powder but it feels very matte and it stays very well and I do have oily skin, especially in the summertime. It's a long lasting blush- it actually outlasts my foundation on some of my extremely looong days! I honestly don't know what they did to make this blush so so soo incredibly good. The color range is vast and there is bound to be a few shades you can rock this season.
Now the lipgloss...leaves me speechless. Literally. I have never owned a lipgloss that is so pigmented, nourishing, just the right amount of sticky and so long-lasting. If you follow me on Snapchat (username is just: Adaleta) you will have seen me rave about this lipgloss when I first got it because I was blown away. The color payoff is phenomenal, but it's also like a stain because there is a hint of color left even hours later. I reapply during the day if I have a chance, but some days it just doesn't cross my mind and there is still a hint of color which is also beautiful in its own right.
As a complete side note, the lipgloss and blush I choose actually are marketed to go together for a beautiful pink look. I got all these of these at my local Ulta; I walked in for a face wash and came out with Urban Decay products. They were just too beautiful and I am so weak. Anyway, I am planning to do a tutorial using all three of these because it's been my everyday look lately!
