As I normally do with my travel posts, I will let you experience through pictures rather than making you read through paragraphs.
Arriving in Providence was such an cool experience. Flying in was literally like flying onto an island and the views were phenomenal (in case you couldn't tell from the opening shots.) I was also with the best group of coworkers and we were going to the coolest state so we knew we were in for a great week. Fortunately when we landed, we had a bit of time to explore downtown before we decided on dinner.
Everything just looks so much cooler on the east coast, yes? Or maybe it's just me.
After a bit of Yelp analysis, we found a place that agreed with all of us.
Due for some team bonding, we went to Local 121. Now this is a very special place for a few reasons (more on that in a later post.)
Look at this poor little rabbit. Although it looks delicious, I don't eat rabbit.
What I do eat is burgers. Burgers all day everyday.
Oooh and I also make dessert a priority. Especially dessert as delicious as this buttery chocolatey heaven on earth. We all swooned and kept sighing as we dove in and devoured.
We did go to a local cocktail bar after dinner since we needed some "exercise" and walking is exercise...even if you're walking to more alcohol. That's the best kind of exercise if you ask me.
J and I really bonded and became BFFs during this trip. On our way back to the hotel, we decided that an elevator selfie was happening. So glad we finally went on a trip together because we click really well in the office but it's good to be offline and just hang out.
We understand this may not be the most flattering pictures but it's about the moment people! |
The next morning, J and I were the only ones who wanted to wake up early to get breakfast at a local spot. Ellie's Bakery looked great on Yelp so we gave it a go and boy, Yelp did not let us down.
Everything about this little cafe was delicious.
There was even a rooster outside to bid us goodbye.
Everything looks sooo heavenly! You can tell the feel of the whole downtown through your photos.. I love it!
