Towards the end of our week in Oslo, we had a whole day to explore some of the best attractions.
We started at Vigeland Sculpture Park which was created and inspired by Gustav Vigeland. Our tour guide told us an interesting story about Mr. Vigeland. Evidently his best friend and him were dating the same girl. They would switch off every day, until one day his best friend took their shared girlfriend on dates two days in a row. He was so angry and told the girl he no longer wanted to see her and he told his best friend he no longer wanted to be friends. Then he set his sights to having a park built for him- imagine if you could have a park built for yourself!
Our next stop was the Holmenkollen Ski Jump.
There was snow on the ground up there, and I am guilty of making a snowball and chucking it at a few of my colleagues. I thought I was quite hilarious.
Some of the artwork inside the Ski Museum was breathtaking and so lovely.
