If you follow me on other social media networks, you'll know that I got the Marc Jacobs Lolita Palette for Valentine's Day from the boyfriend. He read my spring lust list post thoroughly to find that the Lolita palette was my "most wanted spring item." Props to him for getting through one of my posts!
I'm sure you've heard of this palette from many beauty experts because it was really hot a few months ago. I just want to get into the specifics of the colors. I've never had such luxury before and this palette is just absolutely gorgeous. First off, it comes with a sleeve which protects the palette when you're not using it. I always keep it in this sleeve and just slip the palette out when I need to use it.
Look at this magnificence..just look at it!
***insert the dramatic 'aaaahhhhhh' sound effect****
Sephora describes this palette as "- 7 x Eye shadows in matte off-white cream, matte nude, matte dark coffee brown, metallic warm pink with iridescent glitter, iridescent champagne pink sheen, light peach sheen, rosy copper sheen."
From left to right: brown, metallic, pink.
From left to right: pink, peach, copper.
It's just a beautiful versatile palette which I use everyday (more than my Urban Decay Naked palette!) Typically, I use at least 4 shades with each application . I pop the pink shade as the base, then the peach OR copper over the pink as a top color (depends on my preference in the morning.) This really give you a deeper pinky hue. Outlining right by the bottom outline of my eyebrows, I apply the cream shade to get a bit of a highlighting effect. From the outer edges of my eye lid crease to the cream highlighter, I use the nude shade because it looks really natural against my skin color. These shades together leave me with a beautiful natural eye look!
Are you interested in any of the Marc Jacobs eyeshadow palettes? What's your favorite Lolita shade?
