How to Relieve my Sinus and Cold Symptoms

I’m sharing #Advil in my life as part of an Advil sponsored series for Socialstars™

When I was growing up, my mom always made me stay away from taking too much medication. If my head hurt, she wanted me to let the pain go away on its own, because eventually I would get reliant on medication for a headache, stomach ache... you catch my drift. However, when sinuses hit me in Arizona, I honestly couldn't find a solution fast enough. The same thing with a cold. When you're sick, medicine is one of the best ways to get symptom relief.

On my November trip to Portugal, I got ridiculously sick. When you're going on vacation, it is the worst time to get sick. You've been dreaming about delicious food, walking throughout town exploring attractions, and all the shenanigans you'll get into with your travel buddies. Especially when it's a place like Portugal. That's why when I felt the cold take over my body, I was super bummed because I wanted to go explore Lisbon with my boyfriend and friends, but instead, I had to spend an entire day in bed.

It's almost as if my body knew I'd be relaxing and having fun, so during our flight to London, my throat started burning. Just a few days later, the cold hit me after all the stress of the entire year's pressure. I went to various pharmacies in Portugal and nothing worked well enough. If I had had Advil Cold and Sinus in Portugal, I would've felt more relief while I was sick. Unfortunately I hadn't expected to get sick so I didn't take medicine with me. Next time, I will know better and ensure I pack my Advil Sinus and Cold medicine with me no matter where I'm going. That way I am always covered.

Since 2017 started, I have been on the move and committing to even more than I did in 2016 (shocking I know!) Getting sick is something I'm doing my best to avoid. This year, not only am I still working full time at my corporate job, but I have committed to so many more projects with my blog and YouTube channel, so it's definitely been busy. Not to mention I decided to take on a Google course called Squared, that will help with digital marketing and leadership skills. That's another 5-6 hour commitment so needless to say, I am super busy. Ain't nobody got time to be sick!

Dosing should be 1 caplet or liquid gel every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms persist. If your symptoms do not respond to 1 caplet or 1 liquid gel, 2 may be used. However, do not use more than 6 caplets or 6 liquid gels in a 24 hour time span unless a doctor recommends this. When I have issues with sinuses, which happens once or twice a year, I take this to relieve that pressure. It's a miracle worker and helps to alleviate my pressure within an hour. When the next cold tries to take me down, I will be taking as directed to ensure I feel better as quickly as possible.

As you know, I am not a doctor so please make sure to use Advil Cold and Sinus as directed

When was the last time you got sick? What's the worst experience of being sick? Was it during a vacation, or while you had an important presentation?
