...and every year they continue to amaze. I'll admit my absolute favorite item is the sweet copper face compact, because it's just plain gorgeous. The peachy brown blush (called Pleasure Model) is perfect for my complexion, and the highlighter is beyond beautiful. It's a shimmery pale gold (called Whisper of Guilt), so it's not too dark for my lighter complexion and steers away from the whiter highlighters that make me look a bit crazy. I've been traveling quite a bit recently, and this has been my go-to for blush and highlight. It's travel-friendly, and comes in the most beautiful packaging, with the fuchsia and burgundy colors from the holiday collection line. Retailing for $35, I think it's a total steal given that many high-end highlighters cost more than $35!
As you probably already know, MAC Cosmetics can do no wrong when it comes to makeup brushes. My favorite eyeshadow brush of all time is the 217, and I have 3 of them because I never want to apply eyeshadow without it (speaking of which, all 3 are dirty at the moment so I need to do some brush cleaning.) I was sent the nutcracker sweet contour brush kit. While I don't contour on a daily basis, I am a big fan of these brushes because they make it so ridiculously easy to make the contour pop. If you're a contour fanatic, I highly recommend this and it costs $52.50. I bought a NARS contour brush once for that cost, so getting this entire set for the same price is a deal and makes for a beautiful gift. Dayummm!
Lastly, the lip kit is such a unique holiday special. There's something so incredible about a red lip, so the red lip kit is of course my favorite. Not only do red lips make your teeth look whiter, but it's also so indicative of the holidays + it's just a beautiful color for the lips in general. The nutcracker sweet red lip bag is filled with candy cane red shades, and I am a fan of all of it. The shades are matte (you know how we like to do this on this corner of the internet...always matte baby!) and the lipstick and liquid lip are both excellent, with long-lasting wear. MAC has a way with red lip products, and it's undeniably beautiful. If you picked up anything from this collection, I'd recommend this lip kit, even though I obviously love the face compact too.
