I asked my Twitter fam what they wanted to see me declutter next in YouTube decluttering series, and the majority said lipsticks. Let me tell you now that that video is going to be an hour long, even if I cut it in half. Because homegirl has a serious lipstick obsession. I can tell you about so many formulas and consistencies, it's not even funny. I recently got a beautiful package from Tarte Cosmetics with so many goodies, but the lip paints (naturally) were the first thing I gravitated to, and had to test out.
I love that they're called "lip paints" because that's what lip products are. We are painting our lips, just like we paint our faces ;) These colors are full coverage (just how I like 'em), long-lasting and they're my favorite type of lipstick: liquid. When you apply, you barely feel the application because the formula is so lightweight and has a moussey texture. Since my lips tend to be dry, I love that this is not drying BUT has a matte finish. Tarte mastered the science of a matte liquid lipstick that isn't drying and feels lightweight. Can I get an "OH YEAH" over here?
As we all know, Tarte is a cruelty free brand so this is a vegan-friendly formula and it comes in bold and everyday colors, so there's definitely a color for you. One of the biggest determining factors in regards to if a liquid lipstick will be a hit or miss, is the application wand. Will the applicator work well? Is it too thick? Is it a dry wand? ....well I have to tell you that this wand absolutely rocks and allows for an easy precise application. There was no mess and no babies were harmed in the process of applying this liquid lipstick, so I'd say this applicator is the bomb dot com.
I have all of the naughty nudes, which I'm so excited to rock. Nudes have been in for quite some time and they're not going anywhere. In addition, I received two bright colors (I'm all about 'cray cray') and a deeper red which will be perfect for the fall and winter time.

Now, I know what you're thinking. You want to see some swatches. Well...I'm going to be super obnoxious and make you add me on Snapchat because I'll be swatching these bad boys tonight for those who want to see swatches!
Have you tried any of these lip paints before? What were your thoughts?
