I know this time of year is about spending your money towards gifts for family and friends, but I think it's important to not forgot about yourself. Recently, I made two large investments.

If you follow me on Snapchat, you would have heard my entire story about my new vlogging camera. I finally decided to get a professional camera for my vlogging habits rather than use my iPhone (even though the iPhone does give excellent quality.) After reviewing several different cameras, I decided on the Canon G7X. I got it for a bargain. The camera retails at $549.99 and will come to about $600 with taxes. Costco had a deal where this camera was $599 and had a $100 instant rebate making it $499. When I started calling around locally, I found that there was only one camera in town and it was a display camera. For display items, Costco is able to discount it if it is in perfect condition. When I went to the store, this camera became $499 and then the additional $100 instant rebate made it $399 for me. That's the thing about large investments; you always want to find some type of a deal and if it means waiting a bit before you buy it, then so be it.
If you've been around these parts for a bit, you'll know that I am a ride or die Daniel Wellington lover. Even back in 2013, I was rocking my original watch which is evident from this post. Earlier this year, I was even able to get my boyfriend on board with the brand which is evident from this post. I absolutely adore the watches. I also include the DW watches in random posts from time to time but it's one of those fashion bits I will always love without a doubt. If you've never had the opportunity to buy your own Daniel Wellie, then stay tuned on my blog for a giveaway in just a few weeks for your very own ;)
Another big purchase of mine was this Rebecca Minkoff Love Crossbody Bag. Ironically enough, this was also purchased at Costco during a random shopping day. They had a limited quantity of some luxury high end bags (Michael Kors, Burberry, Rebecca Minkoff, etc.) and I've been looking for a beautiful Rebecca Minkoff bag for quite some time. I fell instantly in love with this one, and I couldn't stop thinking about it during our shopping trip so I went back and grabbed it. I saved a good $60 from the original retail price because Costco always has a deal. If you're not from the United States, Costco is a large wholesaler where food and everything else you can think of is sold for cheaper than the standard retail price because they buy everything in bulk.
