Just a few weeks ago, I ventured into Kansas.
I seriously wish trees like this grew outside my house.
That first evening we went to the Blind Tiger Restaurant. Although their website is a bit sad, the restaurant itself is actually pretty cool. It's a bar and to my surprise, we found out that their German brew actually beat the Germans' German Brew. Pretty cool!
The food was delicious and straight BBQ delicious-ness.
This Thai Peanut Salad was my favorite lunch (two days in a row) at Juli's Coffee and Bistro.
...and you know I can't go anywhere without my Daniel Wellington watch!
We hung out at the Burger Stand at College Hill the second evening. Drank a few brews and had a burger. My kind of meal!

The third evening we went to Chez Yasu French Restaurant. There were some appetizers to start that I didn't particularly find appealing (creepy crawly things freak me out!)
...but I do love me a good shrimp so I was happy with some shrimp cocktail.
As my main entree (I feel like I should be saying "and for the final act, I present to you...") I had herb chicken, green beans and potatoes.
That third evening, there were a few tornado warnings and you can tell from the sky that the weather was not going to be pretty. I can't believe this is a consistent occurrence. I was worried about where I would go or what I needed to do IF a tornado actually happened.
Overall, it was a good trip and it's always good to experience places completely unlike your own.
