Tarte always has something in store for the summer season.

Just two weeks ago, I was sent this lovely collection of items and I am happy with each and every single one. Usually there's a dud within a collection, but these are all just keepers. I do have to admit that my experience with Tarte products has been fairly positive most of the time- there's just some great things they put out and I love the brand in general.

We must start with my favorite item: the eyelash curler. If you've been around here for a while, you know that I have questioned eyelash curlers before. I just never saw the benefit, nor did I understand why someone would want to use such a scary contraption so close to such a delicate part of the face. Low and behold, I found a tool that I now cannot live without and use almost every day. This is the most springy, bouncy eyelash curler because the prongs bounce back and forth and you can really use them efficiently. I am not quite sure what it is about this particular one, but it actually curls my eyelashes like no other. Huge thumbs up.

Then I go in with the Lights, Camera, Splashes mascara mini size (comes with the eyelash curler) and my lashes look amazing! This mascara really gets into every single lash and makes them pop. The surprising thing is that it doesn't get clumpy which I found odd- but a very good odd. Clumpy is typically not a good thing!

Next I take the long-wear liner and line as close to the lash line as possible. This is a brown shade so making sure to get as close as possible is key- that way the eyes don't look off. The name of the liner is true- this baby isn't going anywhere so once it sets, you're all set!

When I use an eyeshadow primer, these shadows within the palette do not go anywhere, even after a fifteen hour day! They're all matte; two lighter white shades, one nude shade, one light pink shade, and two varying brown shades (lighter and darker). I like to use one of the white shades as a base, then apply the pink to make the look more girly and then finally add a little bit of brown to smoke it all out. The blush in the center is a gorgeous girly pink and will look good on many skin tones. It's a very versatile palette and you can create a night time look and many variations of lighter day time looks perfect for spring and summer- versatility is very important!

  1. I have the non-waterproof version of this mascara and I love it so much! I wish I had gotten the Splashes one because it holds the curl forever. Love that it comes with the curlers, so pretty! x

  3. Thus sounds like an amazing kit! I'm part of the "why eyelash curlers?" club so I may have to try that one because the one I have doesn't do a damn thing! Great review!
